Travels On Horseback
- Not actually sailed there, lagoon isn't that big but very safe and looks fun. Check out the staff though, especially Hollie-Instructor, what a dude!.

Hove Lagoon
- This place is awesome for bouldering, lots of fun problems, fully textured 'rock', great cave, nice squishy landings. Can get busy (and hot in summer) but the locals are pretty friendly and happy to offer advice.

Evolution Indoor Climbing
- This climbing centre is almost exclusively for bouldering and it's great. There are loads of problems at all different levels so you should get a lot of climbing in whenever you come.

Nottingham Climbing Centre
- Whether you after some pretty solid bouldering (fun routes though) or want to have a crack at some of the routes the really friendly staff are happy to point you in the right direction. Really good value and nice and quiet if you catch it right.

- Great climbing centre in an old church in Bristol. Plenty of good, well thought-out bouldering problems and lots of varied routes that make the most of the high ceilings.

There's also a decent cafe to hang out in while your arms recover. As is often the case this place can get busy, especially wednesday afternoons, but there's always enough to go around...

- Of all the climbing centres I've visited in the UK, TCA has got to be the most well thought out and genre defining. The staff are helpful and friendly, the problems are brilliant and changed regularly, and best of all, it's on my doorstep.

- Not sure why I am telling everyone about this corner of Cornwall as it's unspoilt and simple nature is what makes it so special! Not the place for night clubs, loud beach parties or sophisticated posers - thank goodness!..

My brother and I hired out sea kayaks instead of wayfarers and had lots of fun paddling out into the Helford River and back. The people who run the business are lovely and always great you with a warm welcome. The best months to avoid the high summer tourists are April/May and September/October...
