Iceland is well know for its unspoiled nature, vast natural resources and volcanic activity. With less than two hours drive from the capital those who are interested can find river rafting, sea kayaking, snorkelling, diving, glacier hiking, ice climbing, snowmobiling, super jeep tours, lava caving, surfing and more and more. The options seem to be endless.

The choice of activities available does depend on which time of the year it is as winters get too cold for rafting and sea kayaking, just to name an example. On the other hand winter brings new opportunities like additional snow adventures and with almost no sunlight for few months Northern Lights appear in all their glory.
